By entering the Banda La Chicoteada Grand Giveaway (“Sweepstakes”), entrants agree to these Official Rules.
1. SPONSOR
The Sweepstakes is sponsored and administered by:

The Sweepstakes is promoted under the Banda La Chicoteada brand.
2. ELIGIBILITY
Open only to legal residents of California who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
Employees, contractors, performing members of Banda La Chicoteada, persons directly involved in administering the Sweepstakes, and members of their immediate households are not eligible.
Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
3. SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD
The Sweepstakes begins August 15, 2026 at 12:00 AM Pacific Time (“PT”) and ends August 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT (“Sweepstakes Period”).
All entries must be received during the Sweepstakes Period.
4. STANDARD SOCIAL-MEDIA ENTRY — INSTAGRAM
Instagram is the official location for submitting a standard social-media entry.
To receive one (1) standard entry, an eligible entrant must complete all of the following during the Sweepstakes Period:
- Follow @BandaLaChicoteada on Instagram and TikTok;
- Like the designated Official Giveaway Post on Instagram; and
- Comment on the Official Giveaway Post by:
- Tagging three (3) friends; and
- Including the entrant’s TikTok username/handle (@username).
Example:
@friend1 @friend2 @friend3 — TikTok: @musicfan123
The TikTok username is required so Sponsor can match the Instagram entry to the entrant’s TikTok account and verify the required TikTok follow.
The entrant must be following @BandaLaChicoteada on both Instagram and TikTok when Sponsor verifies the potential winning entry.
TikTok likes, comments, tags, or other activity do not constitute separate entries.
Maximum: one (1) standard social-media entry per eligible person.
Optional Song Question
Entrants may answer:
“¿Qué canción no puede faltar en tu fiesta?” / “What song has to be played at your party?”
Answering is optional and does not provide an additional entry or increase the odds of winning.
5. BONUS ENTRY — YOUTUBE
An eligible entrant who has obtained a standard social-media entry may receive one (1) additional bonus entry by:
- Visiting the official Banda La Chicoteada YouTube channel;
- Finding the designated Official Giveaway Video; and
- Commenting the entrant’s TikTok username/handle (@username) on that video during the Sweepstakes Period.
The TikTok username will be used to match the YouTube bonus entry to the entrant’s standard entry.
Multiple YouTube comments do not provide additional entries.
Maximum: one (1) YouTube bonus entry per eligible person.
No YouTube subscription or like is required.
YouTube entries must comply with the YouTube Community Guidelines. Entries that do not comply may be disqualified.
6. FREE ALTERNATIVE METHOD OF ENTRY — NO SOCIAL MEDIA REQUIRED
No purchase or social-media account is necessary to enter.
Instead of entering through social media, an eligible individual may receive one (1) standard entry by emailing:
Subject: Banda Giveaway Entry
The email must include:
- Entrant’s full legal name;
- Confirmation that the entrant is a legal resident of California and at least 18 years old; and
- The statement: “I am entering the Banda La Chicoteada Grand Giveaway.”
The email must be received by 11:59 PM PT on August 31, 2026.
Free Bonus Entry
An entrant using the email method may receive one (1) additional bonus entry without using YouTube or social media by including this statement in the same email:
“Please include my free bonus entry.”
An entrant may use either the social-media standard-entry method or the email standard-entry method, but not both to obtain duplicate standard entries.
7. ENTRY LIMIT
Each eligible person may receive a maximum of:
ONE (1) STANDARD ENTRY + ONE (1) BONUS ENTRY = TWO (2) TOTAL ENTRIES.
Multiple comments, accounts, email addresses, identities, or other methods may not be used to circumvent this limit.
8. GRAND PRIZE
There is one (1) Grand Prize consisting solely of:
Two (2) consecutive hours of live music performed by Banda La Chicoteada.
Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $4,200
($2,100 per hour × 2 hours)
The prize is a live-performance service only.
The $4,200 ARV represents the approximate retail value of the performance and does not entitle the winner to $4,200 or any other amount in cash, check, credit, refund, reimbursement, or cash equivalent.
9. PERFORMANCE RESTRICTIONS
The performance:
- Must take place at a venue located within a 30-mile radius of the intersection of Beverly Boulevard and North La Cienega Boulevard in Los Angeles, California;
- Must occur on an available Friday after 8:00 PM PT;
- Must occur no later than October 30, 2026; and
- Must be scheduled on a mutually coordinated available date between Sponsor/Banda La Chicoteada and the winner.
Final eligibility of the proposed venue will be determined by Sponsor in accordance with the geographic restriction stated above.
Performance dates are subject to Banda La Chicoteada’s availability.
The prize must be used on or before October 30, 2026. If the winner does not use the prize by that date, the prize will be forfeited and no cash, credit, refund, replacement, or other compensation will be provided, except where otherwise required by law.
The winner should not book a venue or incur expenses in reliance on a particular performance date until Sponsor has confirmed the date.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the prize does not include venue rental, permits, parking, security, food, beverages, transportation for the winner or guests, event production, or other event-related expenses.
The winner is responsible for ensuring that the selected venue permits the performance and for obtaining any required venue approvals or permits.
10. PRIZE CONDITIONS
The prize is:
- Non-transferable;
- Not for resale;
- Not redeemable or exchangeable for cash;
- Not redeemable for the $4,200 ARV or any portion of that amount; and
- Subject to all restrictions stated in these Official Rules.
The ARV does not create a cash balance, account credit, gift certificate, or other monetary entitlement.
If circumstances beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control make the advertised performance impossible, Sponsor reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to substitute a prize or service of equal or greater value.
The winner is responsible for any applicable federal, state, and local taxes associated with accepting the prize.
11. WINNER SELECTION
One (1) potential Grand Prize winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received through all permitted entry methods.
The drawing is scheduled for September 1, 2026.
Each valid entry has an equal chance of being selected.
Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
There will be one (1) Grand Prize winner for the entire Sweepstakes.
12. WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT & VERIFICATION
The potential winner is scheduled to be announced on September 1, 2026 at approximately 6:00 PM PT during a Banda La Chicoteada TikTok Live.
Sponsor will also attempt to contact the potential winner through the Instagram account or email address associated with the selected entry.
Selection does not make an entrant the official winner until Sponsor verifies eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules.
For a social-media entry, Sponsor may verify:
- The required Instagram follow;
- The required TikTok follow;
- The Instagram like;
- The qualifying Instagram comment and three tagged friends;
- The submitted TikTok username; and
- If applicable, the qualifying YouTube bonus entry.
Sponsor may request reasonable information necessary to verify the potential winner’s identity, age, and California residency.
The potential winner must respond within 48 hours of Sponsor’s notification.
If the potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond within 48 hours, is ineligible, declines the prize, cannot verify the qualifying entry, or otherwise fails to comply with these Official Rules, Sponsor may disqualify that entrant and randomly select an alternate potential winner from the remaining eligible entries.
Sponsor will never require payment to claim the prize.
13. ENTRY INTEGRITY
Sponsor may disqualify entries reasonably determined to be fraudulent, automated, duplicated, submitted using false identities or multiple accounts to circumvent entry limits, or otherwise inconsistent with these Official Rules.
Bots, scripts, automated entry methods, and attempts to manipulate the Sweepstakes are prohibited.
Repeated comments do not create additional entries.
Sponsor’s reasonable decisions concerning eligibility and administration are final, subject to applicable law.
14. PRIVACY
Personal information collected specifically for the Sweepstakes will be used only as reasonably necessary to:
- Administer and verify entries;
- Match qualifying entries;
- Verify required social-media activity;
- Prevent duplicate or fraudulent entries;
- Verify eligibility;
- Contact and verify the potential winner;
- Coordinate and provide the prize;
- Complete legally required prize or tax documentation; and
- Maintain appropriate Sweepstakes records.
Sponsor will not sell personal information collected specifically for this Sweepstakes or automatically add entrants to marketing lists solely because they entered, unless the entrant separately consents.
Usernames submitted publicly through Instagram or YouTube comments will be publicly visible and subject to the applicable platform’s privacy policy and terms.
Sponsor may privately request additional information from a potential winner when reasonably necessary to verify eligibility and award the prize.
15. PLATFORM DISCLAIMER
This Sweepstakes is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube.
Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube are not responsible for administering the Sweepstakes, selecting the winner, or providing the prize.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, entrants release Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube from liability arising from or related to the Sweepstakes.
YouTube is not a sponsor of this Sweepstakes.
YouTube entries must comply with the YouTube Community Guidelines, and noncompliant entries may be disqualified.
16. TECHNICAL ISSUES
Sponsor is not responsible for entries that are lost, late, incomplete, or not received because of platform outages, account restrictions, internet connectivity problems, technical failures, or other circumstances beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control.
Proof of attempting to post, comment, email, or transmit an entry does not necessarily constitute proof that a qualifying entry was received.
17. MODIFICATION, SUSPENSION OR CANCELLATION
Sponsor reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to suspend, modify, or cancel the Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failures, platform outages, natural disasters, government action, or other circumstances beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control materially impair its integrity or administration.
Sponsor will not change the entry requirements after the Sweepstakes begins merely to increase engagement or alter entrants’ relative chances of winning.
If the Sweepstakes must be terminated early, Sponsor may, where lawful and appropriate, select the winner at random from eligible entries received before termination.
18. RELEASE & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor and persons acting on Sponsor’s behalf from claims arising directly from participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance, possession, or use of the prize, except for liability that cannot lawfully be waived.
Nothing in these Official Rules waives any right or remedy that cannot legally be waived.
19. GOVERNING LAW
The Sweepstakes and these Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
20. WINNER INFORMATION
After verification, Sponsor may announce the winner’s first name and/or social-media username through Banda La Chicoteada’s website and social-media accounts.
